Abstract
Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey and Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh poem are of lasting effects in the epic literature of the world. Homer has regulated the cultural characteristics of the Greeks, and Ferdowsi portrays the cultural and ethnic characteristics of Iranians as one of the most civilized peoples. The description of the battlefields and the heroic performance of the heroes is the main theme of the three epics of the Iliad, Odyssey and Shahnameh. The comparative studies between the Homeric sistems as Reflections of Thought and Ideas of Greek Civilization and the Oldest civilization of the West and the system of Shahnameh, derived from mythology, ancient Iranian culture and history, brings out interesting and fascinating points which illustrates the proximity of Greek and Iranian epic literature. The author of this article try to look at the psychological angle to Homer and Ferdowsi’s systems beyond the physical and superficial look, and using a descriptive research method of a library type with a literary documentary approach and referring to valid sources using study fingers,the aim of the comparative study is to find examples of the personality types of the epic verses of these poems from Jung’s point of view and their personality spectrum based on Yong’s eight-personality brigades. Based on the findings of this article, one can find the causes and motives of each person’s behaviors in the these poems, the elements of personality and Extraverted and Introversion towards the world around them Which leads to unique behaviors in the story of the poems.
